Valentines Day, What A Special Day

Happy Valentines Day everyone!!! Taylor and I had such a wonderful night with each other. He had school until 6:30 so we had to start things a little late today, but after he finished up with school he drove us to Idaho Falls and took me to one of my favorite restaurants Olive Garden!!! It was a nice way to spend Valentines day just with me and my man.
I'm not going to lie, I'm really not a big fan of Valentines Day. it's just a day to go and show that "special someone" how much you love them when really you should be showing them how much you love them everyday. That's what I love so much about my husband, while we came home from Idaho Falls he told me how bad he felt for not being able to go and get me some flowers. I just had to smile because flowers are nice and all but that's not really what love is all about. Love is something that should not be taken lightly. The best love is the kind that awakens the soul and makes us reach for more, that plants a fire in your hearts and brings peace to your minds.
I love my husband so much!!! he shows and brings the true meaning of love into my life everyday. He doesn't need to buy me flowers or fancy gifts just to show me how much he loves me. He shows love by waking up early in the mornings and going to school and work everyday, he also shows love by coming home and making dinner for me after I've had a long day at work. Or how he folds my clothes up when I'm too lazy to hang them up. And my absolute favorite thing he does to show me how much he loves me is kissing me when ever he sees me.
I hope everyone had an amazing Valentines Day.......I know I did!!!

Happy 50th Wedding Anniversary Grandma and Grandpa Atkinson!

What wonderful examples grandparents are, they are the only people who really know how to make any day a better day. My grandparents just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary and I felt so honored that Taylor and I could be there to celebrate with them and the rest of our family. We started off by having an amazing dinner cooked by the wonderful women in my life: my mother, my aunt Shalae, Lori, Amy and Allison.
After the amazing dinner we all came around and watched a slide show made by my aunt Shalae and uncle Dan, it had so many pictures of my grandparents growing up and everybody in our family, it really brought back so many amazing memories that you hope you really never forget. A lot of the pictures they put on made me think to myself, "Wow I have the most amazing family in the entire world." And it's true I really don't know what I would do without my family.
After we got done with the slide show it was time for grandma and grandpa to open their presents! The children of my grandparents got them and their spouses tickets to a Utah Jazz game!!! Also a gift card to the Cheese Cake Factory. All of the grand kids pitched in money for them to use as spending money on their weekend adventure.
What a fun, memorable day that was. It makes me excited for the day Taylor and I will share our 50th anniversary together.......haha I know that's a long ways away, but I know that everyday spent with him is a little piece of heaven and I can't wait for the many more adventures to come our way. Happy 50th Wedding Anniversary Grandma and Grandpa!!! We love you both so much.

Happy Birthday To Me

I love my birthday, It's probably one of my favorite holidays because It's a day where you can look at yourself in the mirror and say, "Hey it's my birthday I can do whatever the heck I want." hahaha okay I guess you can't do everything you want but It's always nice to have one day that's just yours.
Since my birthday was on a Sunday we celebrated it on Saturday. Taylor surprised me with Jazz vs. Kings tickets, so we went to Utah for the weekend and just had a ball. We got to Utah late Friday night and went straight to bed (we were so tired from the long car ride). Then on Saturday we woke up and went to the Gateway Mall and went shopping. Surprisingly I didn't buy anything but, Taylor did but himself some $14 pants from Hollister, he was so proud of his remarkable find we had to go celebrate by going to the chocolate factory and getting us some chocolate covered pretzels. While we were eating this fat pigeon kept coming over to us because he wanted food. So I would break of a little piece of my pretzel and give it to him and I really shouldn't have done that because the fat lard kept coming back and he kept getting closer and closer to my feet I was pretty sure I was going to loose a toe.
After that little adventure we went to the IMAX and saw Monster that Fly in 3D. It was really fun. Then we met up with our friend and her boyfriend for some dinner. I have never laughed so hard in my entire life. Her boyfriend is hilarious that's really all I can say about him hahaha.
After we finished eating with our friends we had to say goodbye so we could catch our game. Taylor and I were decked out in our Jazz T's It was so much fun, even though we were up in the nose bleed seats it was still enjoyable. during the half time show Taylor wanted some ice cream. As we got up to give them our order this HUGE Samoan man comes up to me and says, "Can I use my hands to scoop your ice cream? It's okay I have gloves!" So I let him use his hands and he literally scooped me a mountain, It was so funny!!! After we got our ice cream we went and watched the rest of the game. The Jazz won by 3 points so Taylor and I left as happy people.
I had such a great time with my husband that weekend, It was so nice just to be away from everyone and to just be alone with him. He always finds was to spoil me and to make me feel special. I love my husband so much and I'm so grateful for all he does for me. I LOVE YOU TAY!!!
